If the British economy goes all pear shaped, replacement Lotus Europa parts just got much cheaper!
What would you enjoy to buy when the Pound is worth as much as a Canadian Dollar? A 25 year old TVR sounds like a reasonable investment!

Ironically, my concern is exactly the opposite. If the British economy goes tits up and exports to the Continent drop, JLR might cut costs and stop selling heritage parts

You can do it properly then. By overpaying for maybe the right part (are you sure this was a series2a and not a 2b? You’d know by the angle of the headlight mountings) that will give you tetanus.
